To Listen is to Love

Every creation begins with something we heard. To Listen is to Love explores how inspiration passes from one artist to the next: a melody, an idea, or a gesture is received with care and then answered with something new. The show takes its spark from the iconic violin solo in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, the voice of the storyteller herself. The melody showly reveals itself, becoming more readily apparent and obvious as the show develops to the iconic solo itself.

Originally commissioned by Alpharetta HS, the 2026 WGI PSA Gold Medalist.
