A Leap of Faith

In short, this is a show about skydiving. The first section focuses on that rush of pure adrenaline that you feel you finally make the decision to jump out of a perfectly good airplane into free fall. The second section is about the almost serene state of being in suspended in the air, surround by clouds and soaring above the earth. The closing movement is about the feeling you have when you start to get closer to the earth, and the feeling of uncertainty as to whether or not your parachute will open. Though the concept is simple, there is a wide variety of moods that will provide your ensemble with a great vehicle for expressive playing and visual possibilities!
